AboutBehind the
camera.

I’m Gaspare Bonventre.
I want to create images that let a story live on.
Sometimes a single photo is enough and suddenly so much comes back: a glance, a voice, the feeling of an entire day. That is what fascinates me about photography.
With Studio Bonventre I want to create memories like these. Calm and attentive, with a feel for light, composition and the small things in between.

At home in Augsburg. Connected to Sicily.
I grew up in Augsburg and now live with my family in the surrounding region. My parents’ families come from Italy. Both are part of me.
As a child I spent my summers in Sicily, and I still visit my relatives there at least once a year. I also celebrated my own wedding there on the beach.
Our sunset shoot stayed with me: the light changed from minute to minute, and the atmosphere with it.
Design meets structure
After fourteen years in the German armed forces, a new chapter begins. During that time I trained as a media designer for digital and print. My very first photography lessons inspired me, and soon after I bought my first own camera.
During a three-month internship with a studio photographer I worked on product photography, lighting, studio work and retouching. With Studio Bonventre I am now deliberately making photography my profession.
I also trained as a weather observer. So when I photograph today, I don’t only look at where the light is beautiful right now, but also at how it might change.
From my previous work I bring calm, organisation, reliability and experience with very different people.
You don’t need to know how to stand. I want you to feel at ease and enjoy being photographed.
Away from the camera
Espresso & pizza
I love cooking and trying new recipes. And my espresso comes fresh from my portafilter machine.
Rather the sea
By the water and in the sun I can really switch off.
A garden to experiment
Vegetables, salad, fig trees and my own hydroponic systems.
No fixed playlist
From rock and techno to US rap, a bit of everything.
Shall we get to know each other?
Over a coffee or by video call. Relaxed and personal.
